San Telmo Obwohl immer wieder vom Hafenbau die Rede ist, besitzt San Telmo nach wie vor nicht mehr als eine Bucht, in der man auf 3m Sand vor den Stränden, die durch eine kleine Felsnase getrennt sind, ankern kann. Die Bucht weiter westlich, ebenfalls noch vor den Häusern von San Telmo, in der angeblich der Hafen sein soll, ist ebenfalls naturbelassen und wird es wohl auch bleiben. Die Bucht ist offen nach SSW-SW-W-NW. Die Strände sind gewohnt überfüllt in der Saison, auch wenn San Telmo generell nicht so boomt wie zum Beispiel Paguera oder Santa Ponsa. Am Strand gibt es einige nette Restaurants und Bars, auch zum verproviantieren ist alles vorhanden. Schönes Ausflugsziel von der Bucht aus (sogar mit dem Dinghi möglich) ist die unter Naturschutz stehende Isla Dragonera , die Dracheninsel, Heimstätte von abertausenden Möven. Isla Dragonera Die 2sm lange und ½ sm breite Dracheninsel liegt westlich vor der Küste Mallorca. Die Durchfahrt zwischen Dragonera und Mallorca sieht von weitem spektakulär aus, bietet aber keine grösseren Schwierigkeiten, sofern man sich von der kleinen, in der Durchfahrt liegenden Insel Mitjana etwas fernhält. Auch Mitjana kann beidseits umfahren werden. Lediglich an ihrer SW-Ecke beträgt die Wassertiefe nur 2m, daher hier Abstand halten. Was den Kanal zwischen den Inseln manchmal gefährlich machen kann, sind starke Fallwinde, die auch bei ansonstem ruhigem Wetter plötzlich auftreten können, sowie ein starker Strom, der bei und nach Starkwind in Windrichtung setzt. Ankerplätze auf Dragonera Wen die teilweise nervende Kreischerei der Möven nicht aufregt, der findet auf Dragonera einige zauberhafte Ankerplätze in reiner Natur, allen gemein ist ein Ankergrund aus Sand und Fels und sollten nur als Tagesankerplätze in ruhigem Wetter genutzt werden. Ferner steht ein Ankerverbot auf dem Plan der Naturschützer, man erkundige sich also ggf. vorher. Cala Llebeitx Man ankere am Ende der Bucht, offen nach S-SE-E. Cala En Bagur Man ankere am Ende der Bucht zwischen steilen Kliffs, offen nach SE-E-NE. Cala Coco Eine tiefer nach W einschneidende sehr schmale Bucht mit wenig Raum, offen nach SE-E-NE Cova dels Bosch Eine weit offene, klippengesäumte Bucht, offen nach S-SE-E und schwellig von SW Cala Enrengan Bietet besseren Schutz als die anderen, ist aber ebenfalls noch offen nach NE-E. Cala Lladó Die beste Alternative, auch wenn die Bucht ebenfalls offen ist nach SW-S und Schwell aus SE hereinsteht. Man findet einen kleinen Anleger und kann von hier aus herrliche Wanderungen über die Insel machen. !!

We have searched him again and again, but unfortunately, there is nothing more than a bay, where you can anchor on 3m sand in front of the beaches, which are divided by a rocky promontory. The bay, in which the harbour should be, is natural and we think, it will be so aswell in future. The beaches are aswell overcrowded in summer, but not such much like for example Santa Ponsa or Paguera. San Telmo is more quiet, there are few bars and restaurant ashore and aswell some facilities to stock up provisions. A beautiful destination for a daytrip (from the day possible by dinghi!) is Isla Dragonera , the dragon island which is under natural protection. Thousands and thousands of seagulls live here. Isla Dragonera Dragonera, the dragon island is about 2nm long and 0.5 nm wide. It lies W off the coast of Mallorca and has got a passage between Mallorca and Dragonera, looking spectacular from the distance, but offering no special difficulties. Keep off the small island of Mitjana, lying in the passage. You can pass Mitjana on either side, but do not come close to her. At her SW-corner, a reef comes up to 2m. The channel between the islands cause strong gusts in places, which may aswell appear in calm weather, and aswell a strong surge towards the direction of the wind in storm. Anchorages on Dragonera If you don´t mind the somewhat terrible screaming of the seagulls, you find some charming anchorages on Dragonera, but the bottom mostly exist of rock and sand and they should only be used in calm weather. Nature protectors also discuss to forbid anchoring, so please ask before! Cala Llebeitx Drop anchor in the end of the bay, open to S-SE-E. Cala En Bagur Drop anchor at the end of the bay between steep cliffs, open to SE-E-NE. Cala Coco A deep incutting, very narrow bay with little room, open to SE-E-NE. Cova dels Bosch A wide open, cliff-surrounded bay, open to S-SE-E and swelly with SW. Cala Enrengan Offers better shelter than all the others, but aswell open to NE-E. Cala Lladó The best alternative, although the bay is open to SW-S and swell from SE comes in. You find a little jetty, from where you can have wonderful walks over the island.
