Sowohl südlich,als auch nördlich des Hafens von Fornells kann man ankern. Man steuert die Einfahrt mittig auf Südkurs an, sie ist frei von Gefahren. Die Wassertiefen am Ankerplatz nehmen zum Land hin schnell ab, ferner istauf Bojen, Schwimmleinen und Fischreusen zu achten.Der Haltegrund ist Schlamm mit Kraut, nicht überall optimal, man mussden Anker gut eingraben.Die Tiefen im meistbesuchten Hauptankerfeld betragen um die 5m. Der Schutz ist sehr gut und auch bei Nordwind kann man hier liegen.Versorgung bekommt man im Dorf, bei einem Restaurantbesuch sollte man dielokale Spezialität, "Caldereta Langosta", einen Langustentopf versuchen, auch wenn der die Bordkasse ziemlich belastet..... !!

Approach into the big bay is easy, steer in the middle of the entrance on a southerly course, a good mark is the lighthouse on Isla Sargantana. The entrance is free of undeeps. Towards the shores, it is getting shallow rapidly, take care of buoys, swimmingropesand fishbaskets! The bottom is mud, not everywhere good holding, take care, that your anchor is well in.Depths in the main anchorage in front of the harbour are about 5m. Shelter is good and you even can stay with a northerly. Facilities are in the town,don´t miss a visit in one of the fishrestaurants, trying the speciality ofFornells, "Caldereta Langosta", a sort of crayfish-pot which unfortunately costs quite a lot.... lists of pictures pictures of the anchorage in front of the harbour pictures of the bays !!
