"MILLENIUM ROUTE" JULY 1-20 2000

We wish a Prosperous New Year to all our Rally Friends around the world.

We are glad to announce you the first "Cruising" event in the Agean Sea, organised by Setur Group of Marinas . The International Aegean Yacht Rally is not a regatta or a race; it is an opportunity to witness the broterhood, the harmony of culture, thousand years of historical heritage and unique nature on both sides of the Aegean Sea… You will have th chance to experience all of them.

After the great success of Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally (EMYR) and Black Sea Rally (KAYRA) which has been supported by us in enthusiam, we believe that the International Aegean Yacht Rally will be also a great organisation to fill in the cruising pleasure between East Med and Black Sea.

"Cruising Fanatics" , sail with us the beautiful coastline between Istanbul and Antalya, come together at the "Millennium Point Kusadasi Marina" and finally set sails to explore the charm of the Greek Islands.

The rally will start with 3 different routes. The Northern Route will start from Istanbul and sail down to the meeting point "Kusadasi". The Southern Route will start from Antalya again up to the meeting point. The Western Route will start from Athens (Greece) and will bring our Greek friends to the meeting point, Kusadasi. After a great celebration all together, we will be ready to set sail to the Greek islands Samos, Khios and Lesvos and from there to our finish point Ayvalik.

Enclosed with this newsletter you will find an entry form and a provissional rally program. The Rally Committee will keep you informed for any change or improvements through out our monthly newsletters and bulletins.

Confirmation of entry to the Rally will be made on payment of the participation fees 100 US$ per person and 100 US$ for the boat. Details of social events and the routes will be published on our next montly newsletter together with the rally brochur and fixed sailing program.
